Electromagnetic Field Parameters in Different Magnetic Therapy Devices

Abstract
Magnet therapy (MGTH) is a commonly used method in physical therapy. Therapeutic effect is achieved with device-created magnetic fields, which can be described with numerous parameters. The effect of the MGTH
depends on the used parameters; therefore it is important to be familiar with them. There are 10 parameters which should be included in studies on biological tissues. Publication of all parameters in studies occurs rarely.
We performed measurements of magnetic field parameters in three MGTH devices creating a pulsed electromagnetic field in three different manners - with a solenoid, with Helmholtz coils and with magnetic mattress. In
this p aper w e have d iscussed and p resent the measurements of p arameters and spatial distrib ution of MF which we need to be familiar with when applying MGTH.
